Het Punthuisje: Unique stay in an A Frame cabin

Het Punthuisje: Unique stay in an A Frame cabin

First things first... We were blown away by this amazing concept. The best way to describe Het Punthuisje is a unique stay combined with the comfort and luxury of a hotel.

General information

Het Punthuisje is located in Lanaken, more precisely in Park Sonnevijver. Its location between the Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen, the Dutch border and Maasmechelen for shopping is ideal. It is known as the 'pointy house' because of its unusual A-frame shape.
Het Punthuisje is well equipped. Outside you can enjoy the following facilities: sauna, jacuzzi, greenhouse, cold water pool, bbq, hammock, brazier. Inside: kitchen, projector and screen, Rituals products, pellet stove... not to mention the mega-comfortable 2m x 2m20 bed!

Food & Drinks

A fridge is available, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. We advise you to take the "full fridge" option, for an extra €35, you will have more than enough for lunch, snacks and drinks.

Activities

Het Punthuisje is located in the Sonnevijver holiday park. The park has 4 ponds where you can swim, relax or fish. There is also a playground.
Want to discover a city? Hasselt is a 30-minute drive away.
Shopping: Maasmechelen village is 10 minutes away by car.
Nature: Mechelse Heide is a 10-minute drive away. This park is part of the Hoge Kempen National Park and there are several hiking trails. Het Punthuisje offers 2 mountain bikes for rent for €30/stay. It is very easy to reach Mechelse Heide by bike.
Sport: Terhills cablepark is 20 minutes away from Het Punthuisje.

The price is €175 per night and there is no minimum stay. Parking is right next door. Maximum number of people: 2 + 1 baby (crib not included).

    Our experience

We have never slept so well in a unique stay as in Het Punthuisje. The bed is very comfortable and the sauna was very relaxing.
It was a perfect way to recharge your batteries.
We loved the huge screen, a great movie moment for two!
As far as activities are concerned, we took the opportunity to make a stop at Mechelse Heide and De Teut to enjoy the spectacle of the purple heather bloom (seasonal).
