As you can see, we are big fans of unique stays, and cabins like La Cabana Fava are very rare in Belgium. Who doesn't dream of a getaway in a cabin with a private pond?
The Cabana Fava is located in a secluded street in the village of Chaumont-Gistoux in Walloon Brabant. Once there, all you can hear are birds singing or ducks fighting for the best spot in the private pond. This hut is a wonderful example of 'slow tourism': relax and forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life for the duration of your stay. Once there, and if you have a bit of sea legs, we strongly advise you to take a trip in the rowing boat. In the cabana Fava, you will have a kitchen, a bathroom (bathtub only), a bedroom with a splendid view on the pond, a dining room and a very comfortable living room. In winter the pellet stove, lit before your arrival, ensures a very pleasant temperature. A good book by the fire with a cup of tea will tempt you 😊.
Food & Drinks
We wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet of the cabana as much as possible and chose to order food to be delivered via an app but otherwise inside you will find a list of restaurants that the owners recommend in the area. You can of course choose to bring your groceries and prepare your meal in the kitchen of La Cabana Fava. An outside fire pit is also at your disposal. Breakfast is in the fridge, so it's up to you to choose what you want to have in the morning.
