Nomadsland - Lokeren

Nomadsland : Glamping in a yurt

What.an.experience.  If you are still looking for a unique glamping accommodation this summer, Nomadsland should definitely be on your list.

General information

Nomadsland is a pop-up glamping concept from the travel organisation Travelbase, which organises unique trips throughout Europe with a focus on nature and adventure. The stay is in a traditional yurt, provided with all the necessary equipment to enjoy a comfortable stay. There are 2 locations: Land van Waes and Ardennes.

Food & drinks

You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks, there is a small fridge in the yurt. If you don't want to drag your shopping bags around, you can just order your dinner in advance. Drinks are in your fridge anyway and you pay per consumption. At the reception you can also buy cocktails and other drinks.

Activities

At Nomadsland you can enjoy a hot tub, sauna or a relaxing canoe trip. There are also activities organised such as wine yoga and bread baking. All of this is included in your stay. Nomadsland is a slow tourism concept where you want to enjoy as much as possible on the spot so we didn't plan many visits in the region. We did drive to the provincial domain of Puyenbroeck with our 5-year old daughter so that she could enjoy the (enormous) playground.

Practical

You can choose between a midweek or a weekend between 9 June and 3 October. There are 12 yurts available each time. Included: Equipped yurt, warm blankets, use of the sauna and hot tub, firewood for your stove or barbecue. Showers and toilets are shared.

Our experience

We stayed during the weekend (2 nights) in Nomadsland Land Van Waes and we can only summarize that this stay is the perfect example of Slow Tourism. Enjoying nature, peace and quiet and off course some family quality time, that's all it takes. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments !
