Wellness with a double W: Waer Waters

Wellness with a double W: Waer Waters

There are some hotels in Belgium where you immediately get that instant holiday feeling, and at Waer Waters that is certainly the case. Waer Waters is a total concept that combines beautiful hotel rooms with a wellness paradise, fitness and restaurants.

General information

Waer Waters is located in the Flemish Brabant village of Groot Bijgaarden, a stone's throw from Brussels. The 12000m2 wellness area is divided into a nude and a spa-clothed area. Of course, you can also go here for a lovely, affordable massage. The recent Waer Waters hotel has beautifully decorated rooms and certainly adds value to one of Belgium's largest wellness centres. The rooms are taken care of down to the smallest detail and the night's sleep was great (read: What a blissful mattress!).

Food & Drinks

Breakfast is extensive and can be enjoyed in the wellness area (with bathrobe) or in their restaurant Brasserie Rodenberg. For a quick bite or nice drink you can go to the O'Live tapas bar and if you're a bit hungrier we definitely recommend enjoying the extensive Buffet à volonté restaurant O'bergine. Our dinner was at the O'bergine restaurant (with bathrobe) and the buffet is generous and quality.

Activities

During a stay at Waer Waters, if your stay is short, you will naturally stay at the hotel to enjoy the extensive wellness facilities. If you stay longer than 1 night at the hotel, we definitely recommend hiking or cycling in the Pajottenland. The castle of Groot Bijgaarden is certainly a nice attraction.

    Practical information

A wellness entrance at Waer Waters can be purchased from €44 per person (€55 with fitness). Want to book an overnight stay and thus enjoy the wellness for 2 days? On the Waer Waters website, you can find several packages for overnight stays with wellness and/or massage/dinner. Prices range from 249 euros for 2. Children under 16 are not allowed in the wellness area.

    Our experience

Our high expectations were more than met at Waer Waters. As a matter of fact, we were also huge fans of the combination between technology and service. On a technological level, you notice that this hotel is still very new, for example you get a bracelet at check-in that you use literally everywhere: from opening your room door, the entrance to the wellness or even to pay your bill in the restaurant. And yet - despite that technology - you have a very personal service on site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return as soon as possible!
